The video has been shared by Shashikant Pedwal on his Instagram page. The person seen here in the video is not Amitabh Bachchan but his lookalike. His name is Shashikant Pedwal, and he is known for his resemblance to the actor. In this Instagram reel, Shashikant is seen riding a Hero Splendor motorcycle with another person on the pillion seat.
The pillion rider is also a social media influencer, and they have both collaborated for this particular reel. In this video, Shashikant, along with his friend on the pillion seat, is seen acting out the popular Bollywood song “Ye Dosti Hum Nahi Chodenge” from the classic movie “Sholay”. Amitabh Bachchan’s doppelganger is seen riding the bike on a narrow two-lane road at night. The video is being recorded by a cameraman traveling in a car right in front of the bike.
Shashikant Pedwal wrote, “This video is only made for entertainment purposes, no intention to hurt anyone’s feelings. *Please wear a helmet; this video is only for shooting purposes. We don’t support any illegal activities. Be careful, be safe.”
He wrote this caption for this video because he and his friend were not wearing any type of safety gear or helmet. They were clearly riding on a public road, and riding a two-wheeler without a helmet is an offense.
The original video of the song featured Dharmendra as Veeru, riding a 1942 BSA 500cc motorcycle with Amitabh Bachchan’s character, Jai, in the sidecar. The scene, which became famous with the friendship anthem song for all Indians.
The only reason why we feel the doppelganger didn’t wear a helmet is that it would hide his face and his facial expressions. His face and body mannerisms are what make him look more like the actor. However, this is not a good excuse to not wear a helmet. Riding helmets are extremely important for two-wheelers. In case of an accident, this helmet saves the rider and pillion from head injuries.
In December last year, Shashikant had posted another video on his social media profile where he was seen taking delivery of his brand new Tata Safari SUV. When the video initially got circulated, many people thought that Amitabh Bachchan had bought a brand new Tata Safari SUV. However, upon closer inspection, it was clear that it was not Amitabh but Shashikant Pedwal who was seen in the video.
In the video, Amitabh Bachchan’s doppelganger stands in front of his new vehicle, covered in red cloth. Shashikant unveils the SUV by lifting the veil. He captioned the video, “Ek Sapna …Jo Aaj pura hua TaTa safari New Model” (A dream… that has finally become a reality. Tata Safari New Model). Shashikant is highly popular on social media, boasting over 1.8 million followers on Instagram.
