Hrithik Roshan is one of the fittest actors in the world of Bollywood. Recently, Union Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore nominated Hrithik Roshan to join a social media campaign to encourage people to stay fit. Of course, the actor was more than glad to be a part of the campaign.
This initiative makes me so proud ! Bravo @Ra_THORe #HumFitTohIndiaFit #FitnessChallenge this is how I commute to my office everyday. sitting static in a car is such a waste. Walk, cycle, jog, feel the earth, feel India 🇮🇳 get FIT! pic.twitter.com/twoI1vna9c

The actor shot a selfie video of himself riding a bicycle on the congested streets of Mumbai. He tweeted the video along with a caption – “This initiative makes me so proud! Bravo. #HumFitTohIndiaFit #FitnessChallenge this is how I commute to my office every day. Sitting static in a car is such a waste. Walk, cycle, jog, feel the earth, feel India get FIT!”
Through his tweet, the actor wanted to motivate his followers to stay fit. However, soon after the video was tweeted, the netizens started trolling Hrithik for his message. Actually, the video showed the actor riding his bicycle without wearing a crash helmet. Some even talked about the high risks owing to the lack of cycle lanes and the ill-maintained roads. The trollers even informed the Mumbai police about Hrithik Roshan’s rather risky cycle ride. The Mumbai police, which has been pretty active on the micro-blogging site, even responded to one of the tweets to ask about the location of Hrithik’s shenanigans.
Please share the location details for us to inform the concerned traffic division.

True, it’s not compulsory for bicycle users to wear a crash helmet but for most cyclists, sharing the road space with the ill-managed traffic gets a bit too risky. Bicycles are the most prone to accidents from erratic motorists. Moreover, Hrithik wasn’t completely focused on pedaling as he was shooting a selfie video. No surprise, then, that the helmet-less riding and using a cellphone earned him a lot of flak from many netizens.
Even we feel that the actor should have known better than riding without a helmet on the congested streets of Mumbai. Also, using a phone while cycling is at least as dangerous as using it while riding a motorcycle/scooter. Shooting a selfie video while cycling can easily shift your focus away from the road. While we totally acknowledge the fact that all the actor wanted was to motivate his followers to stay fit, we would have liked to see him at least using proper safety gear while venturing into the traffic-infested streets of Mumbai on a bicycle.
