It also claims that the Tata Altroz gets laser-cut creases across its body panels that ensures an extremely sharp look. It also gets laser-cut alloy wheels, edgy bumpers that add a commanding road presence. Further, the looks of the Altroz will be accentuated by the Diamond-shaped Day-light opening across the window line. According to the newly launched site of the Altroz, the vehicle will get a plush and calming interior theme while offering modern features like keyless entry and exit. Further, the car will get enough space for five passengers and optimal cooling, which is likely to be provided by the rear AC vents of the vehicle.
In the end, the website talks about the all-new ALFA architecture. The Altroz will be the first vehicle that will be based on the all-new platform in the Indian market The same platform will also underpin a lot of upcoming vehicles from the brand including a compact SUV.
The Tata Altroz will be launched in the coming months and it will take on the likes of Hyundai Elite i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza and Honda Jazz. It will become the first premium hatchback from the brand in the Indian market. Earlier, this year, the Altroz was officially showcased at the Geneva Motor Show and then an uncamouflaged version of the vehicle was also caught in India. The car looks very sharp in styling and offers head-turning looks.
It should be noted that Tata might launch the Altroz only with the single diesel engine option in the Indian market at the time of the launch. Since the all-new hatchback will be launched closer to the BS6 implementation date in India, Tata is likely to use only the BS6 compliant engine initially. The diesel engine powering the Nexon is likely to be the 1.5-litre unit from the Nexon. However, it will be re-tuned for the vehicle. At a later date, Tata is also expected to launch the 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine with the Altroz. Also, we can expect to see both manual and automatic transmission options with the premium hatchbacks.
