Rajputana Customs, one of the most known and popular names when it comes to customisation of Royal Enfield motorcycles in India released a new product – Vigilante a few days back. Based on the all-new Royal Enfield Continental GT 650, the Vigilante looks extremely good and comes with slick tyres, which are perfect for the track use. The modified cafe racer in the video shows this motorcycle here is perfect for the empty city roads and when it comes to it, the Vigilante can be a track-tool too!
The Royal Enfield Continental GT650 looks quite good in the stock form too. Rajputana Customs have modified it from all around to make it even better. To start with, the bike gets slick tyres, which are the best when it comes to track riding. Other features include a full LED headlamp, which will ensure riding through the darkest streets without having a problem of low visibility. To make the bike more aerodynamic and reduce the wind drag at high speeds, a semi-fairing has been added to the bike. A set of upside-down forks at the front makes sure that the handling is at the best.
The seat has been cut short and only offers space for one. Stopping power is very important while going around a track. The quicker a vehicle can stop on the brake, the braking distance decreases, which helps in cutting down the lap times. To add more braking prowess, Rajputana Customs have added twin-disc brake set-up at the front. A fully custom muffler ensures that the bike sounds heavier and more aggressive on the roads. Also, a few visual changes to the bike like the glossy grey paint and the blacked-out engine gives the best look to the Vigilante!
Royal Enfield replaced the Continental GT535, which was a single-cylinder bike with the all-new Continental GT650. It remains the most affordable cafe racer in the Indian market. The bike is powered by the all-new 647cc, 4-stroke, air plus oil-cooled parallel twin-cylinder engine that develops a maximum power of 47 Bhp and peak torque of 52 Nm.
The new engine is said to be the smoothest engine from Royal Enfield till date and is apprecited world over by the owners. The engine produces a beautiful hum with the 270-degree crank firing angle. It also gets newly developed four-valve heads run by an overhead camshaft and fuel injection system. The power is transferred to the rear wheel of the bike through a 6-speed transmission and s slipper clutch.
Both the Continental GT and the Interceptor have seen a good demand in the Indian market. Both bikes are the best-selling products in the segment. In the coming times, Royal Enfield is expected to use the same engine in many other products.
